Well, it's almost that time of year, my favorite. The start of college football and the end of the baseball regular season/playoffs/world series; it just doesn't get any better. On a humorous note, I'd thought would be interesting to get the group out there to list some of the jibes at their rival colleges. So here goes. How do you get a UT (aka Texas) grad off your front porch? Pay him for the Pizza Who was bigger in the 3rd grade, an aggie or a tiger (LSU)? Of course the aggie, he's 18. Doc C

Kneel Steele! Good thing the Baptists have more Baptisms than Baylor has victories or they would certainly have gone the way of the Shakers. As for LSU: What do you call a person from LSU in a three piece suit? The defendent. Why is it that the LSU football team doesn't have a web site? They can't string three Ws together. What does the average LSU player get on his SATs? Drool. What is the best four years of an LSU student's life? Third grade. How does a dumb blond get into college? She applies to LSU. An LSU fan walks into an appliance store and says, "I would like to buy that T.V. please." The store clerk replies "I'm sorry, we don't do business with LSU fans." So the LSU fan storms off. The next day he changes into Louisiana Tech blue and went back to the same store. Again he said, "I would like to buy that T.V. please." The store clerk, once again, replies "Sorry, we don't do business with LSU fans." The LSU fan replied "How did you know I was an LSU fan?" The clerk says "Because thats a microwave, not a T.V."

These two Cornhuskers go into a bar, and so tickled with themselves, they buy a round for the bar. All happy and giddy, the bartender comes up and asks "What's the big deal? Why so happy?" One Cornhusker says "we just finished a jigsaw puzzle, and it only took us two months". The bartender says "two months, that's not a big deal. It shouldn't have taken you guys that long". The Cornhuskers look mad and say, "Oh yeah! On the box it says two to four years." GO BUFFS!!!

Just got back from the Air Force-Navy game played in Colorado Springs. There is absolutely nothing like a service academy football game (except the wrong team won). The fly-overs alone was worth the price of a ticket. An awesome October afternoon.

Yea i take a beating being a tide fan here ... but there are quite a few.. No telling which team will show up the one that beat Clemson, Arkansa , West. Ky & Georgia like a drum or the one that struggled against Tulane & Kentucky

Cuzz Looks like your Tide played down to their competition (Ken), just like LSU did with State last week. Their meeting next month should be a great game. Doc C

Howdy from NoVa. At UVA in Charlottesville, they say "All dirt roads lead to Virginia Tech." UVA calls itself Mr. Jefferson's University. That's true, but it's meant in a most snobbish and exclusive way that would have offended him, the champion of the common man. Patty Last edited on Sun Oct 5th, 2008 02:09 pm by Widow |

Doc UK was 4-0.. And hadn't really played anyone to see what they our made of but the Tide did.. The refs seemed to be a little flag happy in the game and the Tide shot there self in foot in the red zone several times Its one thing to get beat by a better team its another to lose focus and self destruct Despite the struggles (Three fumbles, two missed field goals, one interception, and an uncharacteristic 92 yards in penalties made it a nail-biter.) they found a way to win & Glen Coffee managed to put 218 yd on the ground The 1st half of the UGA game was some of the best football I have seen Bama play in years.. and what the team is capable of doing and the Tulane & Kentucky shows what happen when you lose focus and few things go against ya... Many in the Bama fanbase were thrilled after the UGA game to see them raked # 2 in nation.. Top 10 yes ... #. 2 well I think thats a little early .. There's lots to improve on ... But a good team finds a way to win despite struggling.. Alabama must find a way maintain its intensity We have week off this week just in time to heal our wounded. and regroiup.. I've been "lurking" and learning about the CW, the DoI, etc. all week, but now it's almost Saturday. Anybody else out there looking forward to the Red River Rivalry? How 'bout Okie State/Missouri? LSU/Florida? My Golden Buffaloes have a big game at Kansas at the same time as Texas/Oklahoma - but I've been resting my thumb all day to get ready, so no worries. GO BUFFS!
