Well, Younglobo, I hate to admit it, but over the years, I have developed a grudging respect for the 24 car, and along with that, the guy who drives it. I'm not saying I'd go fishing with the man, but that's pro'bly a moot point anyway, as he pro'bly wouldn't be able to find a pair of Armani waders .Rest assured, my respect is not based on his talent, but his clever decision to go to Hendricks, where Big Money and excellent engineering can compensate for his lack of talent  . Now, if he and Junior had been on opposite teams for the past few years, Junior would have a pile of championships while Little Jeffy would be trying to qualify on time..... (Seriously, God help me, I kinda like that little runt Gordon... and didn't he take on Eldora - Smoke's dirt track - and do really good? With Junior no where to be seen? So how come he cain't beat that punk, JJ? Reb .. Well i can see why JR is your Demigod and Smoke is your driver, he is rather on the plump side but maybe if he keeps eating subway he'll be able to compete with ol junebug. I Do like smokes attitude with the media though straight to the point.

I was going thru driver stats awhile ago, and read that Jr. is 6'1" and 165 pounds, while Smoke is 5'7" and 195 pounds: They must look like Mutt and Jeff when they hang out together. Smoke is superbly conditioned, tho; he never seems tired at the end of a race, while sometimes Jr. seems plumb wore out. Smoke used to run the Indy 500 and the Pepsi 600 back-to-back, now that's some stamina! Back to the whole "globalization/expansion" thing: This week, Speed had a 3-hour movie on dirt racing, a few days later, ESPN did a documentary on it (haven't seen 'em yet, had to record 'em for later). And, Carl Edwards has just finished filming a commercial to make people aware of the historical tracks around the US, "so that they know where NASCAR drivers come from". Do I detect a bit of "let's try and keep everybody happy" strategizing going on? Hey, Younglobo, want to try and taunt Mr. Joe? I don't think he'll go for it; Mr. Joe ain't easy, you know, but I'm goinna give it a try. Here goes: Hey, does't NASCAR consider those telephone books Mark Martin sits on so he can see over the steering wheel a safety hazard? Reb .. I use this one on my mom that is a martin fan when she starts hackin on jeff. Joe.. Mark needs to go back to driving for Viagra ,least then he could take one of them lil pills and keep up.

Oh My Lord, Thank you, Younglobo, I finally laughed out loud this week. Geez, I thought that I'd made the MM stuff up, everyone I know (including me) respects him so much that they won't rag on him...I made an exception, hoping we could get Mr. Joe to come out and play. I don't go out looking for stray dogs and cats that have been hit by cars and are laying in the middle of the road just waiting to die an agonizing death, so that I can kick them as a final indignity. Hence, I will not come out to play with fans of "Schmuck"...oh, sorry, I meant "Smoke". One should not insult those who are less enlightened, but rather restore them to full humanity without obligatory insults. You may have seen those of whom I speak actually trying to insult the first gentleman of motor sports. Hate them not, and consider instead their obvious weaknesses and mental challenges and love them just the same. That grasshopper, is your parable for the day....

As for the rest of that gobblety-gook, what language is that - Maker's Mark Martin Show's what you know! I save the Maker's Mark for National Holiday's like football Sunday. I prefer you refer to it as Jaquin's Jibberish, thank you very much! But you are correct - definetely alchohol induced, I was trying to say that a fan of one of the most class-less drivers ever had a lot of nerve cracking unfunny jokes about a man who has brought more dignity to the sport than anybody in it's history. But I didn't want to be rude about it But now that you pi**ed me off, I may just open the MM a day early

Actually, Mr. Joe, I DID get the point the first time, and found it very entertainingly presented. It was just time for me to retrieve my title from Younglobo.
