Your willingness to serve your county (us) is a credit to you and your family. Hopefully once you complete your training and are assigned you will enjoy some computer time and can visit back. Speaking as one who has been there the ability to share some normal (civilian) conversation over a hobby I enjoy is a great stress releif.

I will keep you in a special place in my prayer list.

Good Luck; the USAF is what you make of it.  Did 7 years and enjoyed some of it hated others.

If you are in any kind of good physical shape basic should be a breeze.  Tech School can be a whole different ball game though.  What's your MOS going to be, do you know yet?

Geez thanks everyone.

I'm going security forces...so I might get lucky and get to stay stateside...which I'm hoping for...

I'm planing on going to Leorime,IA reenactment on September 1-2. My last reenactment before my basic training...

Well my momma wasn't happy about me enlisting but... I got her blessing...

Yay for being an Eagle Scout and 4 years AFJROTC...

MOCON.

SP... you will be deploying after Tech and you first PCS.  When I got out SP Basic & tech were both at Lackland in San Antonio.  SP's are on every base so you can hope to be assigned anywhere and if they have a need for a new Airman you're in luck.

Good Luck and Godspeed.

Based on the enlisted guys I speak to get in law enforcement and not guarding things.  The latter is very boring.

I'll be at Lackland in March for my annual and last visit there before I retire, I should come by and make you salute me ;)

Good luck in basic and tech school and thanks for your service.
