A member on another board is charged with selling his sister's original, operable Henry to help with her expenses after her husband's untimely death.

It has all the markings of an original (with a partial box of original cartridges, as well). With the serial number 3710, it can be traced to the 1st D.C. Cavalry. In the interest of improving its value, we've encouraged him to establish as much provenance as is possible to find.

Is there a way to find out to whom it was issued? The member is busy tracing back from the people from whom his sister's husband bought it.

Meanwhile, what is the approximate retail value should he be able to sell it direct? What might be a reasonable price if he opts to sell it to a dealer?

What dealer(s) would you recommend? He lives about an hour east of Indianapolis.

Ole
