I am a new member and this is my first post. Is there a reference site that lists Union and Confederate order of battle for the major battles ? I am especially interested in the battle of Lynchburg Virginia. Thank you very much.

Fedreb beat me to it. I visit the Civil War Battles page a lot for OBs. It also gives series, volume, and page number from The War of the Rebellion and the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Navies, which I hit Cornell's Making of America site for. The Civil War Battles Page http://www.fortunecity.com/victorian/pottery/1080/ The War of the Rebellion: a Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies http://digital.library.cornell.edu/m/moawar/waro.html Official Records of the Union and Confederate Navies in the War of the Rebellion http://digital.library.cornell.edu/m/moawar/ofre.html

Gordon Pegram's Brigade Col John S. Hoffman 13th Virginia 31st Virginia 49th Virginia 52nd Virginia 58th Virginia Hoffman didn't make the trip due to a spider bite. I got this from the book "52nd Virginia Infantry". Early and the 2nd Corp left Lynchburg went back down through the Shenandoah Valley to make their approach on Washington DC. You can search for any battle like thus in your search engine "Manassas order of Battle" example. Last edited on Sat Dec 24th, 2011 04:09 pm by Old Blu |
