 Michael I just got my Civil War Times Magazine today and there was an article by Michael C. Hardy from South Carolina.  I am guessing that might be you?

I really enjoyed reading the article about the origin of Dixie.  Thanks . 

For those that were asking about Berdan's there is an article about them in the magazine too. Haven't read it yet.

Does it really say South Carolina? I had three copies of the mag on my desk yesterday, but they all seem to have been dispersed through the house.

I did have ancestors in SC who fought in the war - Glantons from the Edgefield district.

 Michael sorry it is me . I see Carolina and think South.  I have a good friend that lives in Manning South Carolina and my  Revolutionary ancestor was from York South Carolina.  It does say North Carolina. 

Good article either way.
