So I swallowed this novel practically whole this weekend, it's that good: Stonewall Goes West. It's about Old Jack surviving Chancellorsville, sans his left arm, returning to duty, and eventually becoming Bragg's replacement at the head of the Army of Tennessee.
If you liked the Forstchen and Gingrich Gettysburg series, you should like this at least as much. It is a military pageturner, like those books were, but with a more interesting mix of characters, at least in my book. I mean, check out the cover -- Stonewall Jackson and Nathan Bedford Forrest? Classic!
