Thanks to the hard work of Texas Defender I pretty much determined last summer that my uncle's father, William H. Clewell, served in Co. A of the 153rd Pennsylvania, 11th Corps under O.O. Howard — the very same corps that was routed at Chancellorsville and was knocked off Blocher's (Barlow's) Knoll at Gettysburg. He played tuba in the regimental band when he wasn't running. I owe TD a debt of gratitude for his assistance in finding this ancestor, which was pretty much confirmed by my aunt. Since I'm retired and on a fixed income, I couldn't pay TD so I sent him a sample of my wife's buttermilk cake. Hey, Doc. The Buick Open starts today and Tiger is playing. Golf season has arrived! Hey, Roger. You into golf?
