Johann, Thanks for the praise for the boys from Scott's! We certainly appreciate it! In 2006, we were taliking with one of the local people who set-up Clairmont. At that time, he expressed doubts as to it's future. I am really saddened to hear that it's off this year (I just got the Feb. Battery Newsletter, and it says the dates for Clairmont are "TBA"....evidently, that is a moot point now....too bad...) You're right, the towns people really did put a lot of effort and work into making that event happen. As far as I'm concerned, they really treated us well. I shall miss those little sausages they served with breakfast. I'm curious to know what reenactors actions and insults occured, but I won't ask.....none of my business; but I will say I am truely sorry those things happened....it gives the rest of us a bad name. Susan, Thanks for the comments! I am glad someone enjoys my posts! Whenerver I talk about the War or reenacting, my wife rolls her eyes and asks "Can't we ever get through a day without you talking about those things!"
