Since you mentioned Cullum and this is a genealogy discussion, does everyone know that the Cullum biographical files are available online through the USMA site? It's great starting point for information on West Point grads, as are Henry's and Heitman's works (also currently available for free online) for civilian appointees or those raised from the ranks.
