Yes the town of Lightfoot was named for William Lightfoot. I am trying to connect my Lightfoot relatives in Georgia with the Lightfoots that settled in Jamestown and Lightfoot. I am at a stand still because I cannot find the date of birth or death for James E. Lightfoot. I need to find that and who his father was to try to connect. I live about 6 miles from Lightfoot!
