A little sanity here. Booth was a Confederate in his belief. That doesn't make him a tool of the government. There was a time that he worked with CSA operatives, but I've seen no evidence that, in the assasination, he was still in the same relationship. It is "possible," but I've seen no convincing evidence that it was "probable." My conclusion is that he was a bit over-awed with the possibility of becoming a Confederate hero, and acted on that perception. Just a loony with a delusion. But Confederate?
