I live not far from Gettysburg and have never seen the cyclorama painting!  Now, reading this, I am really sorry to have missed it.  This had been a new building not that many years ago.  Why has it deteriorated so?  Because of the flat roof that allows rainwater to gather?  Are there no gutters to allow drainage?  It not, WHY NOT???  Why did the NPS allow this to happen?  Why did they accept the condition of this building when it was built?  Da*n shame to accept a less than adequate (in this case, MUCH less) building for restoring one-of-a-kind artifacts like that painting.
