I am losing posts... To,answer your last post Acommander inthe heat of battle, will use available information to formulate his plans to execute the orders given by his superior... he mat act boldly,or not depending..... If,on the other hand, he decides to either exceed his orders or use "discretion" in carrying them out....i.e. "I would really rather do thus & so instead of what that old foggy wants me to do.." then,our hero invites relief for cause, courtmartial,or summary punishment When commander issue orders, they really expect them to be carried out..... they are ORDERS....not suggestions... Ed
