I have to agree w/ Ole. It wasn't a bad movie, but I really do believe many a College level theatre class could have done better w/ the project.

My growl wasn't w/ the charachters, actors or the costumes... the way the plot ran seemed like utter uneducated fantasy to me. Men from both sides getting together during battles was not uncommon, especially when wounded men were involved. Not being able to figure they were among the foe... ummm no, not for veterans. I particularly hated the beginning w/ the long drawn out instrumental scene and to a degree turned me against the movie from the start... it went on far too long. The ending was a crock. -SPOILER AHEAD- No veteran soldier (as several were supposed to be) would be stupid enough to stand up between two lines of battle unless he was off his nut or suicidal.
