Ninety nine percent of the time I'm a glass half full guy, but to me, this is another sign of the general public's growing dis-interest with history. I believe visitation is down at just about every historic site and museum.

In the same news postings, there was another piece concerning the Walmart near the Wilderness. Somebody posted about the story - Get over it. The CW was 150 years ago (I paraphrased). I don't understand this thinking. I'll bet most Americans could not begin to talk about the significance of the first African-American president. People just expect what they feel they "deserve", without taking into consideration the price that was paid for their "rights".

Sorry to rant. This just bums me.
