Hmmm you know I don't know if any exist that are downloadable. I'm assuming a game that would show you the tactical elements of Civil War combat would require a lot of memory space on your computer and that most free web arcades won't allow for a single game to require that much space on their servers.

I'll keep my eyes open however. Lastly, there is a game out for the X-Box 360...and PS2 I think, called "Civil War: A Nation Divided" put out by the History Channel. Do not invest in this game...it's pretty bad, both in terms of a game play interface and historical accuracy.

During the Gettysburg misson, you start as a Union Sharpshooter in Devil's Den trying to pick off advancing troops from all directions...then you are ordered to withdraw to Little Round Top (which is only like a minute away mind you) admist countless Confederate troops that are on the path up to where Chamberlain is waitng. Then guess what you do? You assist Chamberlain in defending Little Round Top....but do you do it with Refused Lines and a bayonet counter charge? NO! You do it with a Gaitling gun that has been placed at Vincent's Spur.

Anyways...sorry for rant...can you tell I'm bitter? The point is that this game also would not offer you any insight on CW tactics. In fact it might steer you in the wrong direction.
