I was pretty bummed out on civil war movies lately-then I saw a "little" movie, financed by PBS,made by a great young director,Robbie Henson, titled "Pharoh's Army"about civil war in the hills of Ky.It's a great movie, that'll get hold of you and won't let go.it stars Chris Cooper, and Kris Kristofferson.I checked it out on Roger Ebert's websight,Ebert calls Pharoh's Army" one of the few films I have seen that conveys the bitterness and hardship of the American Civil War.....the excellent cast, the Kurosawa'ian cinematography, and the dark, tragic story(developed by director Henson into one of the better scripts penned recently)MAKES FOR A BIG THUMBS-UP..If you can find it give it a watch.
