Thanks for the information on a unit I was not familiar with. I appreciated that you stated the primary caliber for the weapons made in his shop were .40. When I was shooting muzzle loading rifles .40 was still considered the optimal cal. for a non-bench long range rifle with moderate loads. The first rifle I built was a .40 and although I built and shot several others for off hand long range it is still my favorite. Also if anyone doubts that a .40 is a man killer almost all my deer have been taken with my .40.
