I can get rosters for Co. C and Co. E but I'm not finding a Captain Oscar Brown in either company. I do find a 2nd Lt. John N Brown in Company E. He appears to have originally been a Sergeant in Co. K 3rd Wisconsin before getting promoted to 2nd Lt.  in Co. G of the 15th Wisconsin. Now if you look in the 3rd's roster (http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/roster/results.asp?image_id=1576) it says he was promoted to 2nd Lt. in Co. E  December 16, 1862. However, the Co. E roster (http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/roster/results.asp?image_id=1966) states that he came to Co. E from Co. G. Now the Co. G roster (http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/roster/results.asp?image_id=1971) seems to clear things up a little by saying he came to Co. G. 15th Wisconsin from Co. K 3rd Wisconsin and that he was recommisioned December 16th into Co. E. But it does list him as a 2nd Lt. in Co. G which would suggest he was either promoted from Sergeant after arriving in the 15th or before leaving the 3rd.

The Co. E roster does state he was wounded at Stone River and resigned April 9, 1863.

I don't find a Captain Oscar Brown at all in the 15th Wisconsin at all. However, a search for Oscar Brown does turn up two Oscar F Browns (http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/roster/searchresults.asp?lastName=Brown&firstName=Oscar). The first is Private Oscar F Brown of Co. I 19th Wisconsin Infatry. The second is Captain Oscar F Brown of Co. A 44th Wisconsin Infantry. Captain Brown was apparently mustered out (if I'm interperting M.O. correctly) August 23, 1865 (http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/roster/results.asp?image_id=2730). You can check with the Wisconsin Historical Society (http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/roster/search.asp) for service records, which you probably already have.

Sorry, can't get anything on the Mississippi Marine Brigade.
