Positions on July 2nd.about 3:30pm under Heth, there was Davis-Brockenbrough-Pettigrew and Archer in reserve about one mile behind Penders troops and Willoughby Run near Chambersburg pike bridge over Willoughby Creek. This was the beginning of the battle on the first day and their posistion on the second day. I have maps and can photocopy and send your way if you wish.

My reference material is from: Battles And Leaders Of The Civil War - Grant-Lee Edition Volume 3 Part 1 of 8 volumes Copyright 1884,1888 By The Century Co. The Second day At Gettysburg; By Henry J. Hunt, Brevet General, U.S.A., Chief Of Artillery A.P. Pages 290-313.
