 I doubt you have any realism from 3D to begin with. Most 3D movies aren't filmed that way, they film them with regular cameras then add the 3D effects afterwards. PLUS you then have to sit there wearing special glasses just to watch a movie.

3D is already starting on it's way out again. Directors and producers are already complaining about the cost of having to make a 3D movie. Then you've got theaters looking to save money by not having the glasses. And more folks don't want to pay the extra just to watch a film in 3D. This isn't just personal belief, this is watching and the news each of these having been dicussed since March of this year.
