 It is wonderful to be able to read what is written here by the professional historians and the avocatees like myself.

I have written military history for the US Army while stationed at Ft. MacPherson, most notably about Andersonville. But my passion is West Virginia where I was raised and educated and where I was able to traipse over Civil War sites in my native Kanawha Valley.

I hope to learn more from the writers and researchers here especially as concerns WV Civil War history.
