You might want to look at some books on Civil War ghost stories. Can't think of the title or th author right now but I know there's at least one story about the burial of a families valuables ahead of the advancing Federal forces and how the place is supposedly haunted by the woman who buried it. Give me a little time to go through my books and see if I can't get it for you. Maybe an idea for a sequel there.
