I'm new to the Civil War research era .
My GG Grandfather was in Wisconsin Reg 1st ,Comp. C . , Heavy Artillery.
On a Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers War of the Rebellion 1861-1865
It has this:
Name : Perham Eugene
Residence: Mauston
Date: July 20 , 63
Remarks: Corp, : absent in Mil. pris. at M O of Co.
Can anyone tell me what the remarks mean.
