Great topic, in my book. I've wondered about this particular "what if" question often, but have yet to make the time to put together a well-informed opinion. As I recall, ASJ bled to death from a shot in his foot or lower leg. His death was avoidable; had his personal surgeon been with him, the surgeon could have stopped the bleeding.
