 In the first place I am not a lost causer, in the second place the fact that someone you disagree with uses Lincoln as a precident, does not make it wrong.

Actually the person I was thinking of was the Russian who used Lincoln and his War to Prevent Southern Independence as a precident for threatening war over secession of various states from the old Soviet Union.... Additionally I believe there is or was a dustup going on in Checknya (SP) over that issue now, isn't there?
