I've just finsished this 54mm white metal figure and thought I'd share it with you.

The idea, and more knowledgable people than me can tell me If I've go this right, is to depict a Confederate soldier behind a breastwork on Kennesaw Mountain 1864.

Johan you're making me as red as that Georgia clay:D

We all have to be good at something and there's figure painters a whole lot better than me. I'm just an enthusiastic amuteur. very enthusiastic about this subject. Reading about the conflict is very inspirational and hopefully it shows in the painting.

Next project is the Confederate Artillery Officer but don't worry it will soon be the turn of a Union subject:P I have some plans forming.

Thank you Susan. I wasn't quite sure how the figures would be received, after all this isn't a figure painting forum.

However if people like to see them I'll keep posting, and asking questions:D

I can answer that from my experiance before Arthur Itis made painting prohibitive for me. The best figs were mad eof resin or white metal, some a combo of that.

Thank you Ed. This particular figure is made of white metal.
The "Black Hat" figure on an earlier post is resin.
If you have any more questions I'd be happy to answer them, people have stopped listening here.
