I got a phone call today from an associate of this artist, who I had never heard of. I went to his website, and I gotta tell you, this guy is good. Troiani's always been my favorite, and this guy's work reminds me somewhat of his. Check out this page and be sure to scroll down to the battle scenes. Sweet!

Wow! Impressive detail. It looks like he paints in water color. Just think how long it would take to paint such a detailed battle scene! He does excellent paintings of Indians also. He is especially good at facial expressions. I'm glad to know about his work.

Thanks for posting Joe. His gallery is only about 40 miles from my home. His work is really great. I may be able to put something on my Christmas list.  Two years ago I got a signed and Numbered print framed of the 8th Ohio at Gettysburg from Dale Gallion. It was my birthday, valentines day, anniversary, Christmas, but it sure looks great in my civil war room.  I saved $35.00 on postage since we were in Gettysburg for the friends of Gettysbug work day.

A very good artist, Joe. He's better than Kunstler, but he doesn['t quite rise to Troiani's level. Real close though, and a man to be taken seriously.
