In today's news, what is so bizarre or crossing the line about this, either I am completely insensitive or the writer didn't convey the travesty well enough. I went to the site and saw the photos and was not offended in the least, it certainly didn't fool me that they were new photos either: http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080720/SCENE05/807200326

Huh? The Courier gave a bit too much leeway to a cub. The editor was (charitably) on vacation that week. ole

Yeh, I'm completely insensitive about it too. Looks like the article is the travesty.

I don't know, they sort of look like Lincoln, if he was related to Max Headroom.

I can't see the travesty in this. The images are really very good. One point though, in the image of Lincoln reading the paper, they forgot his spectacles.

Guys - The Lincoln ones aren't at the link in the article. They're HERE. Once you see them, you'll see there's nothing to be outraged (or even mildly aggreavated) about them. Can't get it to link - go here: http://abrahamlincolnpictures.blogspot.com/

Thanks for the help, Javal. I think the representation is awesome! Maybe they would consider doing the same for Grant , Sherman, Jackson and Lee. It is actually kind of a thrill to see Lincoln that way. Why does the writer of the article object so strenuously? I don't see the computer model as much different than a sculpture would be or an actor in a movie portraying Lincoln.
