Am pleased to announce that C-SPAN will be taping the March 11, 2009 meeting of the Civil War Round Table of New York. The program will feature Benson Bobrick discussing his new book on General George Thomas. Once I get the air dates for the program, I will post the information in here. Am very excited about this and am pleased that they wish to cover the event. Yours truly will be intoducing the speaker during the program. Regards from the Garden State, Steve Basic VP of Programs, The Civil War Round Table of New York

Hi Steve, Great coup!! Interesting that Bobrick has written a book on Thomas. He's actually an English Ph.D. or something, but has also written an exceedingly elegant history of the American Revolution, although the exact title escapes me. Elegant book cover design, too. All the best, Kay Larson

Yes, keep us updated that book looks very interesting, even though I have given up buying new books this year until the economy improves.
