Folks,
We've implemented several changes to the board as of today:
1) The default theme is now a gray theme called (lead). You may or may not see the change depending on your settings in "My Account". Besides this new theme, we added one other new one called "Victorian". To change the look or "theme" of the board... Under your "My Account" button (top of the screen, click "Menu") > look for Preferences in left sidebar once your in. Then look for drop-down marked "Board Theme". Change it to what you want. BE SURE TO CLICK SAVE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE THERE!
2) Several forums have been removed due to non-use. "Civil War Medicine" has been removed. Posts about CW medicine can go under General Civil War Talk. The posts that were in the Medicine category have been saved, and I'll re-post them under General Talk when I get the time. In the Lounge "Cool Websites" and "Contests" have been deleted.
3) Both Current Affairs forums are temporarily unavailable. I've been getting lots of complaints from people who, while they don't post, have our Discussion Board on their RSS Reader. Their complaints are generally that there are more Current Affairs posts than Civil War posts, and if they wanted an RSS feed of a politics board, that's where they would have gone. So I have to research a way to keep those topics from appearing on the RSS feeds. I'm sure there must be a way, I just don't know it yet. Please note that none of the posts have been deleted. I have just made the topics invisible till I figure it out.
4) 351 topics have been deleted. These were topics that hadn't been replied to since 12/1/08 and only had 0 or 1 reply prior to that date.
5) We have opened a whole new category which none of you can see yet. It's a Blogger's Forum, and only Civil War blogmeisters will be able to use it. The rest of the members cannot see it. We just thought it would be nice for blog operators to have a place to gather and discuss blog-related topics. If you are already a member of the board, and you run a Civil War Blog that is listed in our blog section (note that we added 8 new ones yesterday), simply send us an e-mail to info@civilwarinteractive.com or send me a PM requesting access to the bloggers forum. Please incluse your username on this board and the name of your blog.
Thanks.....
