Hello! My name is Michael Phelps. NO I am not the swimmer. lol
I am a lifelong civil war buff and enjoy reading anything about the civil war I can get my hands on.
I recently co-authored a book, with Michael Willever, on the Battle of Perryville, KY.  The name of the book is "A Dark and Bloody Ground: Sowing the Wind". It is book one of a two book series. The first book is about the events leading up to the battle and the second book is about the actual battle itself.
It is a narrative fiction and brings to life characters such as  Lytle, Sheridan, Polk and Wheeler to name a few.
We are hoping it will be out by mid-July or early August.

I look forward to interacting with my fellow historians here and learn even more!
