I have a colt Army/Navy Revolver in good condition. All the serial #'s match and is ingraved with a scene of stagecoach hold up(?) It is a litle worn but that is what it appears to be. Serial # In the 10,000's. loks like a few hammering marks on the barrel but otherwise god condition.I believe it to be 36 cal. but not exactly sure. How would I find out more about it?
If it has the Stage scene it is a pocket pistol. It is probably a .32 cal, but pocket navies were produced in .36. How long is the barrel? It should be 4" or possibly 6".Your local library should have some reference books on Colt fire arms. An on line search will probably bring you some positive hits. If you are trying to get an idea of value you may wish to check gunbroker.com, or some of the online antique weapons sellers.
