Most muskets Ive seen have gone between 600 and 1200 dollars. Anyone know where I can get one for cheaper? Thanks.

That's about the going rate now, I am afraid.....I got my Springfield 3 years ago for $475....For a reproduction, I would not pay more than $700.....Around $600, I'd say, is average....

agreed, you may want to check out craigslist, though you may have to look across serval states to find one and then once you do i doubt you'll find one cheap enough to validate going out of state for.

WHen I was hunting for my 1861 Springfield I would look on these sites. http://www.gunbroker.com/ http://www.gunauction.com/ Sometimes you come across a Civil War reenactor that is retiring from it and sells his stuff. I was always a day late though....so I eventually just went to Dixie Guns and forked over $725. They shipped it within a couple days of my order. Last edited on Sat Jan 21st, 2012 11:16 am by BHR62 |
