In case most are still unaware. History places the writing of Special Order No. 191 of September 9, 1862 on or near the Best Farm which sits on the Monocacy National Battlefield Maryland of July 1864. Monocacy has had the good fortunate this past summer of having Library of Congress lend them the original copy of that Special Order is now on display at Monocacy National Battlefield Park in Urbanna, Maryland (near Frederick) until the 31st October. If you are in the Maryland area anytime between now and its close date, it is well worth going in and taking a look.
