Folks,

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to announce the re-opening of CWi.

To make a long story short, my SSDI benefits finally kicked in, allowing me to go to a good doctor, who immediately switched my meds . The meds stopped the tremors I was having in my arm and hand due to my MS diagnosis over a year ago. The tremors were the reason we had to shut down because I could no longer use the keyboard. Now I can, and we’re ready to come back.

I still have 2 knees that need replacing so I still haven’t walked since last September, but you gotta be happy for what you have.

So please join us Monday, June 17 for the re-opening of CWi.

Maybe time to try Dragon. Though I'd rather be able to type myself and don't use that program anyway so I can't say I blame you one bit. Typing is a skill set worth maintaining. Plus I don't buy half of the claims for switching to Dragon anyway.

Never tried it Hellcat. I've seen their long, boring commercials though. But over the years, every voice recognition program I ever tried failed badly. I'd rather take the meds - they work :D

Fine with me. Like I said, I'd rather be able to type myself.

But boring adds? Personally I'd classify them as more unbelievable. The part I always "love" is when they bring out the kid who could never think of how to write a report for school and suddenly with Dragon he has no trouble with it. Sorry, no. If you're having trouble thinking of what you want to say in a school report, or any report for that matter, having a voice recognition program isn't going to suddenly make it easier for you to do so. That and the guy who supposedly has such a thick Texas accent and to me he doesn't sound like he's from Texas. Nor does he have a thick accent.

Haven't postd on this site for a long time now, (looks like I haven't logged out for a long time either), but I do still look in for time to time and have to say that it is great to hear that you are winning the fight Javal. Welcome back CWi.

Javal,

That is great news that your health is improving and that you are able to re-open CWI.  And, I wish you success with those two knee replacements.  Orthopedic surgeons can do remarkable work now.

Best wishes for the future.
