Evening all. Hard to believe they are doing a remake of this film, but that they are. The new version stars Russell Crowe, and Christian Bale, and will be released on 10-5-2007. Have yet to find a link with a trailer for the movie, but will do so eventually. Regards from the Garden State, Steve Basic

Steve, True West Magazine had an article about this movie a few months ago. I not sure what month though. I liked this movie when Iwas a kid. Not sure I want to see a remake. The theme song is a favorite of mine. Susan

Saw an ad for it last night on TV, had a Clint Eastwood western feel to it from the little I saw. I usually won't go to remake movies however, seldom are they as good or better the only remake I liked better that I can recall is Cape Fear

As an avid movie goer, I have seen the previews to this movie several times and I must say it looks terrific. I can't wait to see it and was captivated from the very first showing of the trailer. You can now see the previews at IMBd.com. Christian Bale and Russell Crowe look very intense and rugged. They look credible as hardened westerners. I'll write a review as soon as I see the movie.

Evening all. While skeptical about remakes, especially one on a favorite film of mine, just judging by what I saw in the previews I will go see it. Looks to be very well done, and while Crowe as a person can be a PITA, as an actor, he is very good. Westerns are a must see on the big screen as well, and as a huge fan of the genre, I hope the movie does well at the box office. Hope all are well. Regards from the Garden State, Steve

Hubby and I saw "3:01 to Yuma" this weekend and I am so glad we went. It is exactly the movie for anyone nostalgic for a good old fashioned "western." Russell Crowe amd Christian Bale are outstanding actors, perfect for their parts. In fact, I'd have to think quite hard to cast anyone else in these roles. I often think of Clive Owen, one of my favorite actors, who could have taken either part, but I am not complaining. Bale and Crowe were exactly right. Crowe plays the chronic train robber/murderer and Bale plays the hard luck farmer desperate to bring Crowe to justice for the reward the Pinkerton agency promises him if he succeeds in getting Crowe to the prison train. While I praise both these actors, I have to add praises for lesser known Ben Foster who plays Charlie Prince, Crowe's psychopathic and ruthless cut throat sidekick who makes a valiant attempt to rescue Crowe from capture. Foster was last seen as an impulsive, violence prone drug addict in "Alpha Dog." He just gave me the willies every time I saw him in "Yuma." If he was in a scene, so was trouble. This movie was just what I had hoped for, but I can't let it get by without a few minor complaints. They have to do with the two main women in the movie. While the men were dirty, sun burned, bedraggled with geasy ungroomed hair and yellowed teeth, Bale's wife and Crowe's lady barkeep romance interest had clean gorgeous groomed hair. Bale's wife had perfect pearly straight teeth, tidy dress, and a smooth peachy complexion. Yeah, right! The action in "Yuma" is brisk and tense. The movie never dragged. Evening all, I went to see it last night as well, and highly recommend it. Russell Crowe and Christian Bale were excellent in their roles, and something you have to see on the big screen. Easily the best western since Open Range. Big thumbs up. Regards from the Garden State, Steve Basic

Howdy all Went to see 310 last tue. was a very good flick worht the 8.50 cant remember the last time i said that , Cleburne .. Charlie Prince was definately scary was sure he got trampled but nope, then I was hoping the kid would shoot him.Was that suppose to be some sort of Confed jacket he was wearing, he looked alot like my capt. in Cav that has red Hair. Was anyone surprised at the ending ( dont want to elaborate and spoil the movie more than i have for those who have not seen it)

Young Lobo, the ending did surprise me. If I didn't know better, I would think we were being set up for a sequel. But there is no sequel to this movie is there? Still, the ending does definitely leave plenty of material for a Part Two.
